Atlantis Prologue excerpt
Nov. 3rd, 2005 06:45 pmI'm feeling generous. I don't usually post a lot of excerpts, just because I like keeping stuff close to the chest. But this is SGA fanfic, so the rules are a little different. Again this comes from the modern day prologue I didn't know I was writing. 1588 words. Warnings for head hopping, Cadman/McKay snarkage and one cheap shot at certain Air Force Lt. Colonel. (Not the one you're thinking either.) Not even sure this technobabbly works for stargates...

I don't know why that was the first thing I wrote when I woke up. That first line nagged me until I had to find out where the thought went. I was just thinking about that. Atlantis is sometimes portrayed as with a mind and heart of its own. Do the stargates themselves have personalities?
As you can see, I've caught up with my array of first day's notes. Hopefully tomorrow will be less... traumatic?
A shady lady
Nov. 5th, 2004 08:22 pmI'm feeling generous today so I'm uploading the first excerpt from my Nano. This part fills out some of the shadier background of my main character's mother. The family is so snarky, although part of me is quite tempted to flash back to the "sparring matches" between Sofia and Ross.
