And our next to last [livejournal.com profile] mini_nanowrimo entry again uses the visual prompt. I'm not actually sure whose POV this is. I'm assuming one of the Americans, maybe even Sheppard, but he doesn't quite have the right old West drawl. What can they do about the Wraith anyway? Force them into small odd space like the Reavers? Oh and less than 1000 words before 50K. I'm a happy happy camper.

In honor of my medical procedure today, I wrote this little piece about Rodney hopped up on painkillers in "Sateda" for [livejournal.com profile] mini_nanowrimo. I'm hoping I don't have that reaction. I also hope I can somehow function. I have less than 5K to write for my Nano dammit!

Morphine; Rodney McKay; 208 words )

Here is the latest entry for [livejournal.com profile] mini_nanowrimo based on the photo prompt. I'm actually considering extending this little piece, because now I'm curious about this world.

Happy Thanksgiving to all the Americans on my friends list. This is another entry for the [livejournal.com profile] mini_nanowrimo set during third season after "McKay & Mrs. Miller". I'm sure they should have had this discussion before this season, but in light of meeting his sister, it made more sense for later.

Thanksgiving; Rodney and Teyla; 359 words )

Hubris

Here is an entry for [livejournal.com profile] mini_nanowrimo. I've done random exercises for the last two days. Nothing really to write home about. This marks my return to SGA. Since I'm focusing on Radek's introduction in my Nano, this is fairly relevant. This is Radek's thoughts after the events of "Trinity".

Hubris; Dr. Radek Zelenka; 192 words )

Here is today's [livejournal.com profile] mini_nanowrimo entry. I meant to write something about doctors today, given my health issues. So I thought about Carson and his Scottish background and the stories we tell.

Stories; Dr. Carson Beckett; 157 words )

Here is my entry for today's [livejournal.com profile] mini_nanowrimo. Spoilers for "The Return part 1".

Here's the entry for [livejournal.com profile] mini_nanowrimo #8. The photograph of the stained glass window reminded me of the first time we see Atlantis above ground in "The Rising" with the sun gleaming through the gateroom windows. I'm struggling a bit with my word counts lately. I didn't even write anything yesterday for my Nano novel. I'm glad I only signed up for 100 words a day for this.

Here is the entry for [livejournal.com profile] mini_nanowrimo prompt #7. All of the prompts are excellent choices. You could literally could come up with three or four different stories just from the ones given alone. I used the quote again this time. I started thinking about Rodney looking up the sky and remembering the solar system he kaputed, but somehow it morphed into Sheppard reflecting on flying and that space stuff. (I'm not intentionally trying to write every Atlantis character, btw. It's just working out that way.)

Flying at Night; John Sheppard; 135 words )

This is for [livejournal.com profile] mini_nanowrimo prompt #6 using the visual prompt. This comes from the Nano novel I'm working on this month. I hadn't originally intended to use other SGA people besides Rodney and Laura but somehow the others snuck in the back way. Definitely my most oddball ship yet.

Old photos; Nano AU; 412 words )

This is my entry for [livejournal.com profile] mini_nanowrimo prompt #5. I didn't use any of the prompts this time. This scene actually is a missing bit from the [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic piece I'm struggling to find an ending for. I pictured this scene around the time right before "Michael", because Carson's dedication had to have been a strain on the relationship. Maybe I'll do something more with this later. For now I don't mind sharing.

Peace of Mind; Laura and Rodney; 228 words )

Ruins

This was written for [livejournal.com profile] mini_nanowrimo's prompt #4. I did do something for day three, but that'll wind up part of my [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic and/or my Nano, so I didn't share it. I was particularly amused they picked this month to open a "Song and Dance challenge", since the flashback takes place in a cabaret. I figured a way to link my two stories, too. My original plan for Nano is going out the window sadly. I hope I can use pieces of it later.

For this piece, I was inspired by the first part of the quote particularly. I was reminded of the opening scene in "Duet" with the Atlantis team finding a deserted world destroyed by Wraith. Seeing those worlds must get depressing after awhile.

This was written for [livejournal.com profile] mini_nanowrimo's prompt #2, specifically the quote, which I included after the story. I've never tried writing Ronon Dex before. It's easy to look at the brave front we see now and then contrast it with how he acts in the flashbacks for "Sateda". Spoilers for the "Sateda" episode.

Survivor's Guilt; Ronon Dex; 375 words )
nanonano: (write wherever you can)
This was written for [livejournal.com profile] mini_nanowrimo for the prompt #1. I don't know how this turned into Rodney fic, albeit a mellower version of the McKay we know and love. Slight spoilers for "McKay & Mrs. Miller" and implied ones for "The Return part 1".

The neighborhood tree; Rodney McKay; 210 words )
